This strategy can be used to activate prior knowledge. Students receive a list of true/false statements or multiple choice answers about the topic they will be reading about and are asked to guess the answers before reading. Students then partner share or group share their answers. After reading answers are reviewed and discussed. As an extension students can be asked to supply page numbers where they found the actual answers to the statements/questions.
