This strategy can be used to teach vocabulary or review a topic. Select or create a chant and copy the text for all students to see. Pre-teach the key vocabulary. Students listen to the chant first, then repeat the chant line for line after the teacher and finally say the chant on their own. Students can also practice the chant in partners.
