This strategy can be used to activate prior knowledge, to review, or to encourage working cooperatively. The teacher gives each student a picture or an event on a card or poses a question to the class. Students then line themselves up in some order according to the information each student has. The teacher stays out of the process. Students then go down the line and share their answers aloud to check.
